The University of Puerto Rico at Humacao (UPRH) proposed to establish an annual training program to national TRIO Program staff known as: TRIO Hispanic Organizations Program Enhancement (TRIO-HOPE) to organize and provide substantial trainings to TRIO personnel according to Priority #3.

Priority # 3 It is the assessment of student’s needs, proven retention and graduation strategies; and the use of educational technology in order to design and operate a model TRIO Project. Objective 1 To train TRIO Program staff who will evaluate the trainings, as benefiting them in increasing their skills and strategies in meeting the needs of disadvantaged students. Objective 2 To train TRIO Programs staff who will evaluate the trainings as benefiting them in increasing their knowledge and understanding of the Federal TRIO Programs. Objective 3 To improve TRIO staff in Spanish and English written/oral communicative skills. Objective 4 Technological competencies to enhance the Programs Performance in Assessment, Retention, Graduation and Communication.
